On the morning of October 23, 2020, the Center for Research on Initiative of Community development (RIC) collaborated with the Committee for Ethnic Minorities of Hoa Binh Province to organize a conference to evaluate the results of the construction operation and maintenance of infrastructure projects in communes and villages under Program 135 in Hoa Binh province from 2017 to 2020.
Through the conference, the participants have grasped the achievement in the maintenance of small-scale infrastructure projects in Hoa Binh province from 2016 to 2020. At the same time, according to Document 1627 / UBND – NNTN dated November 10, 2017 of the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province, the advantages and opportunities as well as difficulties and challenges in the process of small-scale infrastructure maintenance have been identified.
On that basis, delegates made recommendations to improve the management, operation and maintenance of infrastructure works in the province in the future. Especially, the delegates admitted that assigning the community to directly implement the project to be ensured, economical and to raise people’s awareness, responsibility and capacity for operation and maintenance.
