Irish Aid Project: This is the first time people themselves planning for infrastructure maintenance and operation

After the trainings on Community Management and Maintenance technology finished, people in Thuong Tien and Hop Dong communes participated in planning for operation and maintenance works of irrigation and water. This event took place from 4 to end of 29 June and attracted more than 100 people participated in.

17 operation and maintenance plans were completed, including 4 plans of running water works, 12 plans of irrigation works and 01 for underground transport work. This is the first time that citizens of the two project communes made plan for maintenance. Through this, it’s easily to see that capacity of the project beneficiaries were gradually improving.

Ms. Bui Thi Chi, a member of the irrigation community group in Vang village said: “I found the project is very interesting. People were trained and then practiced thus knowledge is strengthened.”
