On November 23, 2018, the Center for Research on Initiative of Community development (RIC) collaborated with the People’s Committee of Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh province held “A summary Workshop” to share results of the implementation of the project in 2018 at Tra Vinh province.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Committee of Ethnic Minorities of Tra Vinh province, leaders and departments of Tra Cu and Cau Ngang district and the projected communes/ hamlets in Tra Cu district.

The results after nearly 5 months of implementation in Tra Vinh province have received high appreciation from stakeholders. Representatives of the Provincial Ethnicity Committee and leaders of the People’s Committee of Tra Cu district made positive assessments with the piloting of the model of self-governing community in operation, maintenance and construction of small-scale infrastructure projects in the area. In addition to that, they committed to coordinate with the project to continue to replicate, learn from experience and propose policies to be able to assign the community to self-manage works according to the specificity of the province and the policies of the state.
